I am in total disagreement with you. If we are to respect the consolidated booking system which provides fair and full access to all rates, why should an employee at a property be able to offer a further discount? Like the airlines, hotel chains have adopted a management system to maximize their revenue, but also to make what is on offer consistence to all buyers (other than negotiated corporate ones). Why should someone get a better deal than anyone else who puts their money on the line with the lowest advance booking rate?
