- £35 (from £30) on short haul routes
- £90 (from £75) on long haul routes
Passengers will now be able to carry up to a maximum of ten pieces of excess baggage.
There are no changes to the sporting items currently allowed free of charge.
Those pre-booking their excess baggage online will continue to benefit from a 20% discount.
In addition, a heavy charge will be applied to all bags weighing between 23kg and 32kg (which remains the maximum allowed) and this will be £25. This becomes effective on 26th November 2008
The changes have been introduced as a response to rising fuel costs.

Excess baggage rates that are charged in USD are increasing but to a lesser extent. The longhaul excess baggage rate is going from USD150.00 to USD165.00. The 20% online discount also remains.
