A husband and wife who packed all their belongings into a single piece of luggage which was then lost by Air Canada have failed in a court battle to recover the full cost of all the items.
An Ontario Superior Court judge has concluded that only goods belonging to the person who checked in the luggage are eligible for a claim, as a result of the regulations in an international convention that has been ratified by Canada.
