Cool

I guess my original message may have not been clear enough.

Guy Betsy - sorry if I was unclear but the promo was only for any member who had not flown to/from North America on CX for the past 2 years, not just US mailing address residents. And thank you for welcoming me to the forum.

CXfan1960 - the wait was cause because they had kept me on hold to find out further information. It was not a hold to get through to an operator -being diamond the wait for that is very short.

Yiu - concerned with the double miles because it was 15000 miles for FREE that I missed out on? Who wouldn't want that?

I am not sure if you all agree with me or not by my post, but to me it feels like I am penalized for flying regularly with them. Basically it feels like CX is saying to me: OK you've been a frequent flyer with us and since you are diamond you are stuck with us for as long as you wish to maintain your card so we don't care whether or not you are satisfied with our promotions despite memebers like you and others in your tier contributing heavily to our bottom line.

That is a Robin Hood type of mentality in my view. Yes the airline is entitled to do whatever promotions they want BUT they should also pass those promotions to elite tier members on a discretionary basis SHOULD the member find out about the promotion and insist upon it, which is what I did.
