I suppose it's technically possible that a state could issue a non-RealID ID in addition to the RealID ID, but I really can't see that happening for cost and other procedural reasons.

I'd guess you won't have any problems unless you're flying out of a very small airport that's a long way from IL!

AZ apparently isn't concerned with residents resembling their drivers license photos, as theirs are good for a maximum of (I think) 35 years!
I will be flying out of small airports far from IL. I'll carry my passport just in case.
