Similar statements from the Annual Report have been posted here in the past, along with some additional tid-bits about United Loyalty Services from other sections.
I always find the United Annual Report interesting reading, particularly about MP, ULS, calculating methods, valuations, accounting practices and even some of the Executive compensation and perks section (for which I always feel a bit voyeuristic when reading that one).
All of it doesn't effect me as a customer or Frequent Flyer participant one bit, really. But it is interesting from a curiosity point-of-view.
The most interesting reading and factoids at United, IMHO (what they cost out that free seat at, elite rank numbers, dollars per average elite by levels, etc. etc. etc), are not usually released to the public however.
