I ducked into the RCC to pick up my drink chits for later use. The dragon checked my credentials and said I could go in; I had to ask for my chits and specifically explain it was point of origin for my transoceanic segment on a star carrier. They were delivered, but with an eye roll. Then, on to more pleasant things.
I met up with Mrs. PVDProf and checked in to OS at B26. She had been given a $20 food voucher, as a non-status C pax, when she checked in earlier; no lounge for her (see, she does need me

). OS had placed my name on a list to use the VS Clubhouse because I am *G (suggesting that I could have just walked in with a BP, without a physical invitation I've sometimes needed at other contract lounges). The OS agent said she wasn't sure whether I'd be able to guest in Mrs. PVDProf, since it isn't an OS or *G lounge and thus may have different rules (it might particularly be a problem if the Clubhouse were full); she gave me a $20 voucher in case Mrs. PVDProf couldn't get in.
As it happened, the Clubhouse was rather empty and I asked if I could bring my wife in as a guest, and it was no problem (though they did ask if she were "traveling with me", so maybe it would have been a problem if she were not). The Clubhouse was great: relaxing, good martini, tasty food brought from the kitchen (Mrs. PVDProf had a fruit salad with ice cream that was unexpectedly good; get that or the crab).
Based on the flights being announced in the Clubhouse, several * carriers may use it, including SA and LH.
