I do not think AC's balance sheet or management are as poor as UA is right now and I certainly hope AC thinks long and hard about this if they are even considering this. It seems to go against the message of making all your planes shiny, new and entertaining, and then then turning around and charginnf for everything like Ryanair would do.
I think it would also go against other recent changes (upgrades) such as giving status miles for Tourist fares.
