What else are they doing with the plane? I understand that slots at LHR are hard to come by, and the 7 hours on the ground at the London end might make sense if it puts the flight times where they will get more passengers. But it also means that they need 2 planes to operate the route, and there is a 20 hour gap on the ground in BLR. I assume they have something else they are doing with the A330 during that time, right??
well I always wonder this same questions about Jet Airways?
Why do they have their planes sitting in Newark, JFK, Toronto etc. for 8+ hours?
Why not fly somewhere? Say land in Newark/JFK at 11:30am, fly to Montreal/ Toronto etc. and be back by 8pm, for their 9pm departure to BRU.
