Thanks guys. I was at the check-in desk for about 30 minutes, talked to one agent and two supervisors. I know when you drive across the border they'll sometimes let you go without a passport. The supervisors were saying if they let someone fly internationally without a passport they could get fined $20000. They said there was no way they could let me get on the plane whether I was in transit or any other reason. They wouldn't even let me fly to LAX to see if I could work things out there. How can I find out if I really HAD to have a passport to travel, since that will be the basis of my complaint?
