The water was warm and tasted terrible.
I declined to drink it and I have reason to believe that drinking this water was not safe.
In some country around the world and I believe in Arizona, by law, an individual cannot be refused safe drinking water.
What do you think?
Thanks for your input.
Needless to say that as a Star Gold member I shall take my business some other places.
This has already been covered over and over again in other threads about the sale of beverages in flight. Check in those threats for more info. I will say this, the water on board (most aircraft) is potable/drinkable but not exactly the best water around. Where do you think they get the water from for coffee and tea? Also where do you think the water comes from in many restaurants (even in AZ) when ordering water?? Some restaurant may filter it but most dont. In any case, the airline is not obligated to serve you anything at all in terms of beverages/water except for the case of lengthy onboards delays. So the situation is what is on US and if you don't like it your option is to buy the water on board, buy a bottle in the airport (which in many airports is a better deal than on board) or go fly another airline.

Also one other thing to remember, not all local laws (include state laws) can necessarily be applied to an airline since they are federally regulated. Federal laws trump local laws.
