I have an award ticket on hold for my daughter to fly CPH-LHR on SAS with a return from CDG to CPH. There is a chance that she may not be able to make the CPH-LHR due to the time of the flight. She will know in a couple of weeks which will still be several weeks before the flights. She can get an Easyjet ticket instead.

After finalizing the ticket, is it possible to cancell the first flight and maintain the return? Would there be a fee?

I did try talking to UA and now my brain hurts.
