I'm a little over 700K now, will be at ~750 by year's end, and probably have 4 years to go to 1MM as long as I keep working and traveling. The conflict is that I can retire early in another year, which would (probably) cut into my BIS miles. Guess I'll just have to get another job that sends me around the globe. I'm not too worried about UA's future, but then I wasn't worried about my 401K a year ago either! In any event, since becoming 1K, I'm actually enjoying about 85% of my UA flights, so it's a relatively pleasant quest I'm on.
