One of the things that has kept me going on United the last couple of years is the prospect of making MM. For the last couple years, I've averaged about 100-130k BIS on United metal and have pushed myself into the low 700k-ish range. I see it slowing significantly in the next couple years, but ultimately it's probably the single biggest item for me sticking on United. I really like the thought of lifetime *G.

I'm curious if there are others out there in this same boat? I personally feel that the financial situation at United makes it a risky proposition. However, at the same time my next closest airline is in the 150k range so, MM there is a long, long way off.
