I know Platinum ambassadors are guaranteed PAID room availability if they book at least a certain time in advance BUT does this apply for reward nights as well?

Example: I am a Platinum Ambassador and want to stay in hotel XYZ for 1 night on points and am booking more than 3 days in advance but there are only rooms available by paying, not with points.

If anyone has any experience with this I would like to know...
