Well, that's actually the story for most of the world. You're right about not trying to "dazzle" them with $$ on that single trip since, no matter how much you spend, there's always someone that spends more than you.

I was referring to the OP's post of just coming down and whether there were "tips" which I interpreted as getting some deals.

As for lining up, I've never had to line up at LV in HKG. Ever. And yes, I stay away from the one location that, for some crazy reason, always has a line up.
