Entertainment Books. Gives you a flat 25% off ANY buyable ticket direct from UA to USA. On your figures that saves you $A875 right there. Unlike the USA you cannot simply order these from publisher. You need to buy them off fundraisers for $A55 each - schools etc. I sourced MANY for local FT'ers this year so they snagged this huge discount.

Seems like the Sth America fares have increased quite a bit lately, probably due to $A rise of 20% against $US? Darn nuisance as I was going to book one for Xmas.

Anyway they now cost $A2844 + tax from here and direct from United is $A3048 plus tax, but of course you can use a 15% off PMO/Friends voucher right off that, which is then $A457 off leaving $A2,590+ taxes booking right off UA.

This allegedly is in "H" class according to fare basis - UASAMEA16M/BUE but the published rules talk about it being in "H" still. Still allows 5 free stopovers in USA. (Book it to Montevideo Uruguay for same price as that is 2 more 500 mile segments and is an interesting and very inexpensive place to visit as well.

M is a higher fare class than H, so no issue - in fact both "cost" the same points for upgrading:

And finally if you are travelling with a friend using a companion cert of which many here have ones to burn (me included!) lets the both of you to travel MEL-MVD r/t - all 30,000 miles of it for the $A2,590 + taxes if you wish, as you are on a H or B fare.

(p.s. - next thread you start please give thought to the title being very SPECIFIC. This title could apply to 5,000 things, and may be the reason for few responses. )
