Well, I still like to wake up a bit earlier not to miss out on the muesli and yoghurt on longhauls.
And even ignoring the warm dish, sometimes there are nice surprises like the liver pate offered on a recent shorthaul flight. Now, if they could just offer a few Russian garlic pickles to go with that...Maybe Aeroflot or Rossiya could supply some.
Do have a mimosa on occasion, but generally am not a big fan of champers and also feel too sleepy after a glass or two.
Btw, the best breakfast offerings at HEL still seem to be in the SSP run lounges. Hope that changes with the new ViaHelsinki opening next year. I would love to have hard-boiled eggs, herring and onion on rye bread in the morning.

Breakfast (as all meals) are ofcourse 100% up to personal preferences, onboard AY long haul I tend skip the tray service for brekkie and have just juice and those sandwhiches/small tortillas they serve as snacks during the flight. Main reason being that I try to sleep (if the bad smell from the galley doesn't wake me up) until the captain comes on the PA...Depending a bit on the agenda for the day ahead a glass of ice cold bubbly never hurts either..
