In short, I was just interested in the kind of feedback about the experience--I guess that items bought at the boutiques are NOT fakes--and the price differences are attributable to HK's duty free status.

It was also helpful to learn that there is no haggling at the boutiques, but I do understand that other stores will discuss prices with a prospective customer for items such as watches.
