I know exactly where the parking is. We used it just after it opened and they were advertising it heavily. Unfortunately they did not have the garage open and everyone had to park in the open and the drivers were poorly trained.
Used it several times when the garage was finally opened with varying results. We have gotten caught with the multi-story garage being full and having to park on the ground in the open lot. If it is busy you cannot be guaranteed a covered space. I have had a couple of nice drivers and a couple that were very rude, same as anywhere. As with anything, your experience may be different.
Most of the time we just sucked up the price and stayed long-term attached to the terminal. Learned where to park and never took the tram.

Remote parking (for what two + years now) is now housed in a newish six?? storey parking garage ( directly behind the main Post office) with multiple elevators and displays indicating the number of available spaces on each level. Buses run every 10 Mins (and supposedly 24hrs) perhaps they have retrained the drivers because I find they very courteous and will help with luggage.
With luck you can actually get to your car quicker than taking the tram.
Personally I would take the airport parking over the off-site places (even if their rates where cheaper) at least your car will not be exposed to the elements.
