I just had a look for a trip I'm considering in early 2009 and Lattitude Plus fares from YYZ are now $1,895 each way ($3,790 return). Checked various dates and this appears to be the new standard. Rather than being considerably cheaper, these destinations now cost slightly more than the cost of a trip to HKG in L+.
Grrr.
Why are you surprise they are up?
Posters openly posting these fares on the forum, one should be surprise they did not go up sooner.
If willing to buy positioning A Class RT over the pond, great C-fares EX: Europe to Asia . 125% COS for C -Class they are now a Good Deal.
