I have stayed at several extended stay places with kitchens. One can do pretty well getting a small flank steak, cheap teriaki marinade, instant potatoes (add water only), frozen veggies. Steak on stovetop and potatoes and veggies in microwave. Leftover meat goes into sandwich for tomorrow. Total -- about $8 for 2 meals. Lean Pocket breakfasts aren't the best, but are quite convenient, particularly if you otherwise will be eating the doughnuts in the office...
