They are part of same development with Villagio being a little newer & rooms a little more lux, which isn't to say Vintage Inn is not, because it is, it's just a tad more "California luxury casual" = no silk stuff but lovely spacious, beautiful rooms/suites. They are separated by a shopping area. Nice development. I bet if you didn't like one, you could easily switch to the other; I'd ask when booking if changing to other hotel was an option. Bay Area companies use both for off site meetings so they are frequently fully booked.
