Let's also take into account that US is hubbed near some rather large military facilities. Proximity to Luke AFB (lots of enlisted students and almost every F-16 pilot of several nations spend time there at some point in their careers) comes to mind, as does Ft. Bragg to CLT (150 mi. compared to 75 for RDU, but worth the drive possibly given the network).
How about reading the article first there is no mention of US Airways. Second Us Airways allows three bags up to 70lbs for military. Please people if your going to bash us bash us for the things we are actually doing not those we are not...
