I had a knee-jerk reaction and voted for the island of Hawaii (Big Island), but I wish I could go back and vote for Ni'ihau.

While it might seem like seven days there would be too much for many folks, I'd love to stay with a family and listen to talk story, hear Hawaiian language spoken in daily life and kani ka pila (I *can* bring my ukulele, right?). I'd head to church on Sunday and help in the kitchen with new friends. I've read so much about Ni'ihau and its traditions that it would be a real treat to experience it first hand. But, being as visiting the island is limited for most of us to a quick helicopter drop down on an isolated shore, I guess this will still always remain a dream...
