Hello All,

Mrs. Colourmix, Colourmix Jr. and I are travelling SEA-NRT-SIN on Nov 27/28 on UA 875/803. We're on H fare basis tickets, upgrading with miles. Ticket was booked through a travel agent, not via UA.

SEA-NRT cleared at the time of booking (end-of-July). NRT-SIN was listed as NC1 (still is), but with Jr. in the mix, we don't want to split the PNR. So we were waitlisted. Until yesterday (yes I am checking every day ), .bomb showed our confirmed economy seats and indicated that we were waitlisted for the upgrade.

Today, the note that says we're waitlisted is gone. If I select the "Upgrade" link, I see the following information for Flight 803:
"This flight is not upgradable. Please contact your booking source. "
"Upgrade is not available due to the flight status."

Any idea what might be the problem here? I'm not sure my TA will know why the upgrade failed. Fare basis is definitely H (HL9MIN).

I'm definitely going to call UA about this, but is there anything specific/special I should tell them, especially if I get a clueless CSR?
