The concierge from the hotel should be contacting you regarding any special requests. If your lucky and its not heavily booked ask for a beach front at the Morning Star section of the hotel. Otherwise, there is a rate available (don't recall $$) to upgrade your award room. We stayed on the beach a few years ago for a few days and it was wonderful. Restaurants on site are overpriced though.
