But it will be very difficult to get the FRA-BLR leg in coach on LH unless you book very far in advance (4-6 months). But you can try. If you can accumulate another 20k miles, you can get a pair of business class awards for 180k that is actually easier to get on LH for the FRA-BLR leg.

You are allowed one-stopover in Europe.

Unfortunately there are no *A upgrade awards. There used to be upgrade certs on UA for LH flights but I don't think they exist anymore unless you have the old paper certs still lying around and are still valid. But even then, it would have been too expensive because just the FRA-BLR upgrade would have been 30k miles one-way per seat.
