I wouldn't go that far....
Last month, I had my first experience in F on NW.......as this was actually the first time that I've ever flown on NW.
I was on LGA-MSP (lunch) and MSP-LAX (dinner).
Inflight service for lunch on LGA-MSP reminded me of what's offered on select LGA-ATL flights.....with the only difference being that you actually get a choice of 2 meals (sandwich or IIRC, a pasta salad).
Inflight service for dinner on MSP-LAX was similar to Delta flights over 1550 miles........as it included a choice of 2 meals (had a beef dish somewhat similar to what I've had on DL lately....just with different sides).....with the only difference that I noticed on NW being the inclusion of a small amount of fruit.
Seating comfort was quite nice....as both flights were on 757s (first a 200 and then a 300) and I was able to snag the best seats in F according to Seatguru.
While actual cabin service on the first flight left a bit to be desired (i.e. average service)........the lead FA of the 2nd flight (who took care of my row) was as good as the best DL FAs......and I told him after the flight that I quite enjoyed the experience in F on NW.
The only things that I missed were the at-seat IFE (FWIW, it has been working >90% of the time for me) and DL's specialty cocktails.
I would like to note that while the NW WCs are decent (they still offer a slightly better selection of 'food'), I truly dislike the idea of self-serve liquor......especially in a club that allows children.
IMO, the best setup for a future club would be self-serve soft drinks (soda, juice, tea, etc.), beer and wine........with a DL CRC style bar for serving liquor........including an array of specialty cocktails.
Perhaps the same bar could also offer fruit smoothies and/or specialty coffee drinks (cappuccino, latte, etc.) for those that don't drink alcohol?
Methinks this could work....especially in high traffic clubs such as those in hubs and focus cities.
