From there down to Bank, as a roundabout route, you could wander down through the Chapel Market, across to Myddleton Square, down to Exmouth Market, down the back streets to Clerkenwell Green, over to the Whitecross Street market, a detour through Bunhill Fields if you fancy, then down past the Guildhall to Bank. Would take about an hour.
Thanks. I'll copy/paste this.

Thank you. My husband is arriving at T3 about 30 minutes before I arrive at T4. He'll be on AA as that is the airline his company prefers. Not sure if he should meet me at T4 or I should go to T3. I guess it depends on which of us gets through immigration and customs first. I assume both terminals of customs/immigrations are equally as busy.

I know it's nasty but at least it kept people from flying down the walkway three times as fast as they should have been.

But Analise, don't let that put you off.
I'm still wondering what it means to be "a right old git". I'm not easily put off. I'm used to the crazy messenger bikers in Manhattan and I have no problem taking a late night tube with a bunch of drunkards. It isn't like the Brits can be any more inebriated on public transport than we New Yorkers....
