NW First Class (at least on the DC-9s, which is my only experience with them) is nothing special - a little wider seat (same size as the MD-80s on DL), but pitch is about 3 inches more than DL coach (it's a 34" pitch up front). Best seat on the NW -9s is Row 5 (which I have booked on my IND-MSP leg tomorrow morning...)
