My friend and I recently booked a reward ticket from Boston to Venice via Amsterdam, with a stopover in Paris on our return flight. I was just online checking our itinerary and noticed a time change for our flight from BOS to AMS. Our layover time has increased to 6 and a half hours, perhaps giving us enough time for a quick glance at Amsterdam. My friend has been to before, but I never have. So, I was wondering if anyone has gone into the city on such a short layover, and any suggestions you may have. In particular, how many hours before our flight should we head back to the airport? Or is a 6 hour layover too short? We plan on checking our bags thru to Venice. The only bags we will have on us will be small carry on bags for essentials, to which several posters said could easily be stored in lockers. Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks, Diane
