Just read both this thread and ozstamp's 2006 thread, as my parents have decided in November to fly BNE/BKI/BNE in J. Now I can tell them all about the "dry" flight (unless they bring their own and presuming the situation with serving alcohol remains as per previous poster's comments). That will be harder on my father than my mother

I was hoping that RBA flights could credit to either their QF, AA or NZ accounts, however looks like they'll be status-less with these flights.

3,380 x 1.25 [disc J] x 2 = 8,450 miles towards RS account - nowhere near 25K needed for Silver membership.

Doesn't seem worth joining Royal Skies for just these flights, when they aren't likely to use them again. Of course, merging OW account balances would be perfect, however I'd never expect it to happen
