Maybe it's that I went with lower expectations but I liked everything about this property ... well, everything but the food. The seafood barbecue was just awful - man, they cooked those lobster-tails until they were hard enough to be used as truncheons. Breakfast was always good though. As far as transportation goes, we found it best to make friends with a local taxi driver - a retired teacher who goes by the not-so-unexpected nickname "Teach" ... nice guy though, and always where you needed him to be within 5 minutes of the hotel/restaurant calling him. Agree also that Sunshine's is overpriced and overrated. Best bet for dinner is to take a taxi up to one of the plantation inns. My impression of the property could also be skewed by the fact that we were there in low season (at a really great rate) when it was at maybe 40% occupancy.

We flew into St Kitts, so we had to take a boat there. They'd a nice big boat and a regular smaller one. I went on the smaller ones both ways, a bit choppier than expected.
The room / services / pools / spa are top notched. The downside is the food, just not good. Unless you rent a car, your selection is limited. People raved about Sunshine, but I found their prices outrageous.
I was there when there is a large convention. Tons of people in suits and shirts. I probably won't be happy if I came here for a quiet honeymoon.

But I think FS Nevis is still worth the trip. A good place for a getaway.
