my sister's flying UA EWR->LHR in july. UA said they can't give her a seat assignment, this was a month ago, now they tell me the same thing (and the flight's within 2 weeks).

They said 35% of seats are held for assignment at the airport. That seemed fishy to me.

Any way I can help her here? I don't want her flying all that way in a middle seat.
