Ok, I've tried and enjoyed all the big dogs in chicago (Pen, Four Seasons, Park Hyatt, Ritz, etc). I'm interested in finding a new hotel home in downtown. Any suggestions for a boutique type hotel near michigan ave that is super comfy. I'm looking for a soft bed and plush furniture but still a good location, nice ammenties and service. You have hit all of the big luxury names in about the order I would rate them. One hotel that a lot of people have been talking about is The James - which is at Rush and Ontario and something of an updated W. While it is popular, I would view this as a different type of place than those you mentioned. Trump might be fun and the bar is fun, though full of Trump wannabes.
