Mrs. Gargoyle had 41k MQM's last year, wasn't offered anything (nor did we expect anything). But hearing that others got gold for less isn't pleasing.
I think Delta was wise in how they "bumped" people up from silver to gold last year. For instance, almost everybody in my group here (about 20 people) all got bumped to the next higher level last year if we feel short by <15,000 MQMs as we fly all Y/A/F/J fares. We almost always are up front anyways, so the only real benefit (in my mind) was the 100% bonus skymiles versus the FO bonus
(Really, if you think about it, I had 42,000 MQMs and got bumped to GM - but that 42,000 MQMs included the 50% bonus on all my flights for Y/F/J/A fares so I really had a lot less.)
