One other question: Are you sure that transferring SPG points for two airline tickets is a good use of those points? You will need a huge quantity of points to get the necessary miles and maybe you could use those points better for a vacation in a nice hotel?
I agree with you here that most would consider the SPG points worth more than flights especially if you are flying coach.
