T4 is in a different part of the airport some distance from T1,2,3 and you cannot walk between them. You can use the free Heathrow Connect shuttle trains between T4 and T1,2,3. More information may be found here.

If you are travelling into central London by tube from T4 the same train serves both T4 and T1,2,3 so there's no need to go to T3 first. If you just want to go to T3 then take Heathrow Connect as travelling by the tube will not be free.
