I checked out today. Go figure. The courtyard in Cayman is average for a courtyard, but slightly outdated. Be aware that on this trip down, I noticed that they were refurbishing the hotel. I talked to the bar tender and they are waiting on approval to do the rooms as well. Construction may be an issue. The hotel is across the road from the beach, but is in a great location. It is the last hotel on seven mile beach so you can walk up the beach without a bunch of hotels. Go down the beach to the north about 500 yards and the reef and snorkeling are almost as good as going with a dive group. Breakfast at the hotel is overpriced and average. Dinner is pricey and strangely upscale for a courtyard. There are many good restaurants all over the island, but I recommend the lighthouse. You may want a rental to get there. It's a hike so taxi may be pricey. The food and service are the best on the island. The average dish price is $30. Good luck.
