It's not really a dungeon, actually, but a shared lounge with multiple other airlines, so it's really like...okay, fine, a dungeon. It certainly does beat the general airport waiting areas, however you'll still have to go through security at the gate area.
And if you
really want that dungeon feel I suggest you make a special visit to the Tanzanite lounge at DAR; this is another lounge that SAA uses and to get to it you - you guessed it - walk downstairs and into the mustiest, moldiest place you've ever seen.
