I am leaving my car in Tampa for a week. I found something really interesting on parking prices there as there is little competition. A-1 is $53.00 for 7 days but I do not have a good opinion of them.

Payless is $61.75 ($8.25 day minus tax) which includes tax for the 7 days and they operate an off airport parking and shuttle.

To my surprise, the economy garage at the airport was $63.00 ($9.00 day tax included) tax included.

So for .14 cents a day more, I do not have to wait for the shuttle, drive me into the city to pick up my car.

There are also the off airport hotels park, sleep and fly but most of thoise seem even more expensive.

I confronted Payless with the competitive airport rate and they really seemed indifferent. So if you need to park your car, leave it at the airport in Tampa. If you know of some where in Tampa which is better for parking, let me know.
