Although it is VERY noble to believe they will want to "right a wrong" for a pretty loyal customer, unfortunately, they just don't care.

Take a look at all the some complains come up here, or you hear about them at the airport..... We have been writing, calling "voicing", emailing to no end..... and we still have the same problems over and over.
I've seen UA right several wrongs for customers both loyal and not; what is more interesting is that people still use the "..and I'm going to tell hundreds of people about this!" - the assumption being that those hundreds of people will get just as unbelievably angry (most won't) or fail to see that there are two sides to every story.

We live in a litigious society, and we clearly sue for anything and everything. While there are some interesting elements of this story, I can't help but feel strongly that the OP is just putting himself and everyone around him (imagine having to listen to this story 100x if you're a family member, each re-telling getting more dramatic and the wrongs committed more offensive than the last!) through additional and unwarranted misery.
