From a tech point of view I don't see why not, afterall you can pull up your reservation at the kiosk with just your skymiles card and to my knowledge they do not put anything flight specfic in that cards magnacnetic strip. Now if it fact will work is another story. I do remember seeing somewhere that Continental was experimenting with simialr technology.
