I haven't had problems getting a late checkout. However, I am usually only asking for 1PM or 2PM.

P.S. I do sometimes have issues with housekeeping starting to bug me at the normal checkout time even though I have been given a late checkout. I just tell them I have a late checkout and to come back later.
