ATL-MSY this morning aboard an MD-88, we get down to probably southern Mississippi when the pilot comes on and informs us that there is some weather in the New Orleans area. Usually not a problem (doesn't look like a big deal on weather.com) but the radar in the cockpit was down so they brought us all the way back to ATL and cancelled the flight.

I sincerely hope the radar was working when we took off, otherwise I've got to question Delta's logic in allowing the plane to leave in the first place. The only good news - my MQMs have posted and hopefully I'll double-up on the re-book.
