What would I have done? I'd have taken the F seat like a shot. Prestige, attentive service, fine wines, groovy food, etc.

But, I'd have regretted not having a window seat like mad - especially on a day flight. I love windows; I love looking at strange and exotic lands (well, the USA in this case); I love daylight and feel pain when others shut it out.

And if I'd stayed in J with the window, I'd have regretted the lack of the prestige, fine wines, etc.

Sometimes it's better just not to have the decision to take.
