Heathrow Closed - Fire alarm in the control Tower
Sitting in GLA awaiting my flight down to LHR. The Captain of our flight has just arrived in the lounge and advised that due to a fire alarm in the new Heathrow control tower, the tower has been evacuated and there are no arrival/departures from LHR. Thankfully the old tower still has kit in it and they are trying to make it operational but the delays will be heavy and at the moment, Heathrow is closed and looks like being for the next hour or so
