From personal observation, it seems a tad random as the flight crews never seem sure themselves and the senior pursers often at the wrong door.

Mind you I have often seen confusion reign with 747s as well between 1L and 2L. First pax are never assured of being the first to get off. And the poor CSD has to push his way past J or WT+ pax to get to the right set of doors.
