i flew a couple of segments on Thai Airways as part of an "around the world" itinerary in business class. After ~4 weeks, the segments haven't posted. I requested the missing credit using United's online missing mileage request form. Does anyone have experience, either successfully or unsuccessfully getting their mileage credit? How long did it take?
As a warning to others, the first time I submitted the request for leg 1 (14 days after leg 1, but less than 14 days after segment 2), I didn't get an acknowledgement. I submitted both segments and received acknowledgements after a paragraph with information about each missing segment:
Your request has been sent to the partner carrier for approval. You should expect a response within 4 weeks.
Approvals will be posted to your account. If additional information is required or your request is denied, a letter will be sent to you. Please keep your ticket copy and boarding pass for your records.
